How do i play a video clip that won't start on surrounded by my video players?

hi. i downloaded a video clip, but i can't open it even if i used different video players (VLC, Windows Media Player, FLV player). the profile type of the video is "video clip." when i use windows medium player, it says "error downloading codec." is nearby a universal video player that i can use bar VLC?

If your video aren't playing properly, I'd recommend that you download the latest revision of Windows Media Player from-
