1.Toggle the Hold switch on and sour. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it sour again.)
2.Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 second. You may need to repeat this step.
Also, if your computer doesn't detect your iPod, within are a few things you can try. While your iPod is plugged into your computer, open iTunes. iTunes may automatically detect a software update prerequisite for your iPod. If not, try updating your version of iTunes and the iPod's firmware beside the latest interpretation from Apple's website. If that doesn't work, try re-installing iTunes instead of updating. You can also try to plug your iPod into another port. Sometimes that works. And you can try to unplug unneccessary things from other USB ports which could be draining the ports power.
Press the top menu button and the round button in the middle and hold for resembling 30 seconds. It should work after.
