I newly bought an mp3 player.. and my comp is not detecting it..?

it did NOT come with a cd, but it keep hold of saying, please connect a device.. and its plugged surrounded by pretty good.. what do i do?


Answers:    The first piece I would do is make sure the cable works, it would really helpe if you convey what kind of Mp3 you enjoy, it would be easier to identify what is wrong with it. But I would also filch it back to where on earth I bought it, you do have a warranty right?
