Is it true that for iPod Touch for the 8GB or 16 GB it take away 2GB for the system memory etc.??

so it becomes similar to 8GB = 6GB and 16GB = 14GB??


Answers:    I bought the 16GB and, after a sync'd up a about 150 songs, here was 14.1 GB gone. I imagine the programs do lift up a bit of space, but I think its worth it for the 'real' internet and the QWERT touch keypad.
