How to retrieve songs from ipod?

I had closely of songs in my tough drive then it broke and the singular way i can return with all the music spinal column is from the i-pod. Does anyone know how to do that. Will changeing it to disk mode help or will that simply help if i added them again?

Answers:    I've have to do that many times past. Just download a program called music rescue. Google it and it should be similar to the first link. Then purely plug your ipod in and start and it will bear all the songs and video off the ipod and put them rear onto your computer. It's free and easy to use.

(ps.. while you're using it an annoying little box will keep hold of popping up asking you to pay for the program, freshly click ok each time it comes up and the program will verbs to work. you don't have to buy it.)
you might own to make cds beside the songs from your ipod and then put them on, or if you own the cds of the songs, redownload them.
