In iTunes, go to gag, prefrences, then click the Advanced Tab. within the advanced tab click the importing tab.
In "Import Using:" Click MP3 Encoder within the drop down box.
Click OK.
Now select all the songs you want to be surrounded by MP3 Format (by holding ctrl and clicking the ones you want in itunes) consequently right click on one of the ones that is blue and click convert test to MP3.
what itll do is basically keep hold of those songs the way they are surrounded by itunes, make a copy of them and while copying them convert them within to mp3's.
now you can turn into windows medium player and however you import songs walk do that and the mp3's are in mydocuments, mymusic, itunes, itunes music. consequently go to the artist and generate sure you import the one i.e. an MP3.
(you may want to delete the mp3s when you are done b.c they are automatically put into your itunes library again[so basically you own the same song twice but surrounded by two different formats])
