One 1 Pod 2 Different computers?

I heard something that the first computer you plug your ipod into and download music (not from itunes lately from cds) is the only computer your ipod will ever be compatable near... Is that the case... Cause when I first get my ipod i had a profession that I could just mess around the comp adjectives day... I no longer work nearby
Any suggestions?

Answers:    When you plug your iPod into another computer it will simply ask if you want to format your iPod to go next to the different computer. That means you'll lose everything that's on your iPod and enjoy to start over, but it doesn't mean you won't know how to use it with a different computer. It's freshly a little bit of an inconvenience. If you don't format it and start over you won't be capable of use it with a different computer, so it's something you hold to do whether you want to or not.
