I upgraded itunes and in a minute my ipod wont turn on! PLEASE HELP! BIRTHDAY TODAY!?

i was playing on my spanking new ipod nano! and i plugged it into my pc and it popped up and i on my workstation and alll my music and it said i have to upgrade so i did and afterwards suddenly my ipod went bad.
and wont turn back on, ive tried charging it and thats inoperative.
and when i pllug it back into my workstation it doesnt do anything, doesnt pop up and cannot be seen on "my computer"
give a hand would be appreciated

Answers:    Reset it By holding down the Menu Button and the Center button for 20-30 sec. This should work. If the problem persist, call APPLE A.S.A.P.
is the software on the nano upgraded as in good health?? press the reset button. or restore it(on itunes theres a restore button that'll fix everythng for sure but deletes adjectives your memory) if it still dosent work call apple or run to your nearest electronic store
