I used to have an ipod, but very soon I've just bought an Archos 605. It's be charging for probably 30 hours now through my computer, and I don't muse it's gonna get anywhere, so I newly connected it with a USB chain to the apple charger...

It will not destroy it if the voltage and amperage are duplicate. However if they do have different voltage and amperage specs, yes you could ruin the player.
