How come dvds and games work even if they enjoy scratch and results?

dvds and games still keep working usually even after scratches. but audio and vcd's don't work okay if they have scratch on it. we have to verbs the cd surface with a cloth. what is special more or less dvd layers?? are they different from other average cd's??

Answers:    1st off, dvd's still work after man scratched because the memory isn't stored on plastic. It is on the top layer where on earth you can touch without verbs.

2: audio and vcd's should still work after being scratched. A cd is indistinguishable as a dvd. As long not on the non-plasticy part.

3:dvd is different. the stripe is much thinner, makeing it possible to put more daata in it.
DVDs are then technolgy than CDs but even so they are affected by scratch. The surface of DVDs or CDs don't carry the background - it is beneath the surface. However, scratches can distort the signal, and CDs are more susceptoble than DVDs. Games CDs/DVDs do not inevitability to access the data as efficiently as with Audio or Video, so can hold several attempts without you notice. If scratches are too wide or bad afterwards disc-cleaners (which polish out the scratches) can sometimes help.
Hope this explains things OK.
