Answers: Most good music shops provide them. The digital ones retail at around 18 pounds. They're small, credit card sized so they fit in an instrument luggage for ease of transport. You can put earpiece into them too. The more traditional mechanical ones retail at around 25 pounds. I don't know any brand name which are better than their competitors as all of them do duplicate job. You can get hold of novelty shaped powered ones. The shop I work in sell an owl one and you can get them surrounded by different colours too. I'd personally turn with the digital one.
Mechanical every time - forget digital, insufficient adjustment for individuals on them.
