How do I put a eyeshade lock on my Ipod Nano?

I go to eyeshade lock and made the combo and everything but then it doesn't even lock.
I'm doing this so my brother can't mess near my Ipod.
PLEASE HELP ME TO LOCK MY IPOD!!!


Answers:    i have the 1st contemporaries, so it may be different. Go to extras, later screen lock. afterwards click on turn screen lock on, next click on lock.
Flick the switch on the top until it becomes red. That will lock it.
