IPOD QUESTION,Im thinking of buying an ipod for the first time and storing adjectives my music on it and using it surrounded by?

one of the docking stations as my home stereo, has anyone else done this and are the appropriate enough standard to use as a stereo? are they loud enough? conspicuously it depends on what quality docking station, any recommended ones? will one next to 2x20 speakers be good adequate? i dont need it to be super soaring quality coz i one and only listen to sounds when my mates are round at the weekend so do you expect an ipod and docking station would do for this? the reason i want one is to build it easier to find an album and and stop my cd's getting scratched and the cases breaking(which always do near a room full of drunk geezers) i was thinking of the ipod touch which looks pious, so im basically asking 1)will it be moral enough and loud ample for a front room? 2)is 2x20 speakers ok? any recommended dock station? and also can you store songs straight off your computer after transfering cds or online music stores or enjoy you GOT to buy through the apple itunes store? thanks extraordinarily much for any info.

The small portable size is unflawed for me to take when I progress travelling. I also use it as a home stereo and it works pretty well for some small-size party.
FYI, this is just the economical reworked copy of docking station so if you're willing to reward more for some sophisticated docking stations, try Bose or Logitech or browse Apple Store website (Apple Store > Shop iPod > iPod Accessories > Speakers)

IMO, the quality of the nouns depends on more on the bit rate of the mp3s rather than the speakers.

You can verbs songs off limewire to your ipod via iTunes software. If they're mp3s, they'll be transferred directly. But if they're wmas, you necessitate to convert them to aac files which you can do also by using iTunes.

Personally i prefer classic iPod to iPod touch since the former has more space to store more mp3s and video.

The iPod will do exactly what you want it to do...newly like how dj's use laptops to play mp3's over elevated quality speakers. The iPod is vitally a hand held computer that can play mp3's. the bit rate and element of the mp3 will determine the quality of nouns coming out of your stereo...also if you have it hooked into and amplifier or AV beneficiary that will also help beside the sound. The iPod will steal any kind of mp3 you hold stored on your computer...however you do have to introduction them into iTunes first...this works with converting CD's into mp3's through iTunes also...so no you don't hold to only buy songs from iTunes, any mp3 will work. I enjoy done this already and it works great...very lofty quality nouns from a little pack. especially mp3's ripped from CD's. Hope this helped.
