IPod Touch/Viruses,Malware,Spyware/...
Answers: I have an iPod Touch very soon and you still use iTunes with it but it doesn't work near Windows 2000 from my experience, but it does with XP as you would expect. You xfer music as usual. I had a nano back. It doesn't get virus and spyware as far as I know. I've connected to the internet and browse a little bit but not that much. No virus or spyware so far.
There are currently no known virus in public that will affect an iPod Touch. It is other possible that one will be created, but I would consider it unlikely anytime soon. Considering you can't easily download and execute programs on that iPod, you are pretty undamaging.
Your best defense against a virus on any computer is not to visit sites that they usually come from. That technique don't download pirated software, naughty pictures, and other things you wouldn't want your parents or the police to know more or less.
To put music on the iPod Touch is exactly like the iPod Nano. You may enjoy to download the latest journal of iTunes if you haven't already, but that's it.
