When using Skpe if you can hear the soul you call but they can't hear you what is the problem & solution?

that happens to me soemtimes
be in motion to control panel and sellect sound. and mic
if the mic say 'normal mic' and rearmic you may need to set it to backside mic.
especially if you have window vista! it seems to conjecture that one mic is two and that 'rear mic' is actully the mic you need to use.
name the skype test phone and see if you can hear yourself, adjust settings.
