I recently acquire a Maco 750 HF 10/12 meter amplifier, it appears to be comprised of eight (8) 8950 tubes. Here is a link to a photo of the section as it sits on my shelf:

I am looking for some information about this specific amp:
1) How much drive wattage can be run into the amp?
2) Is nearby a cross-reference tube that can be used in place of the 8950?
3) What is the max power output that can be expected from a Maco 750 near new tubes? It currently swings to nearly 1150 watts with a 3.5 watt drive. Is this an expected maximum for this element?
Thanks for any information you can provide.
