In command to"detect" something it has to hold a unique property that isn't adjectives to other things. Like a metal detector uses magnets because most metals that they want to detect attract the magnets while other things don't attract magnets.
I guess it might be possible to find some light white horses that could penetrate most objects but be refracted or reflect by diamonds in a personal way that could produce a detectable signature. Just a guess, but I hold never heard of any device close to this. For a couple hundred thousand, I could research and invent this for you if it's possible!
