Is in that a really great GPS device out here for my saloon for beneath $500?
Answers: Hi, in that are many GPS device for cars available for beneath $500. In particular the Tom Tom ONE XL is available for only $350. I've had a fitting experience with Tom Tom the directions it give are very clear and the devices come across to be quite speedy - at hand isnt any lag. However one point that should be made is that you should update the Tom Tom map, so it knows adjectives the latest roads. Mine can next to both american and european maps.
Of course Tom Tom is the basic manufacture of GPS for cars, however at hand are others available that are just as worthy.
Your other option is that if you hold a PDA or mobile phone that runs windows mobile, you can buy tom tom software to run on that, although you would also necessitate to be a GPS reciever.
~There are plenty of good/great options for underneath $500, and you will definately want a portable unit. Currently I am using the Street Pilot c340 which have worked very very well for me. If you are looking for only navigation features that work okay, give this one a try. It also say the road names instead of turn departed in 500 foot, which is very encouraging if there are several roads to choose from that are in the order of 500 feet away. I travel reasonably a bit for work and have be around the US and Canada with it, the map are very accurate, except for a road or two surrounded by New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. I have dropped it various times already on the pavement and it works great.
