What is better for games 1080i or 720p?

Answers:    It's debatable which is better. The explanation why is the "i" and "p."

The "i" stands for interlaced. Images on a TV are composed of even and odd numbered scan lines. In interlaced viewing respectively pass will put the model data on the even or weird and wonderful lines. This is how old TV (480i) have been approaching since pretty much the beginning. It allows smaller amount data to be sent for a similar dummy.

In contrast, the "p" means progressive. Each exceed of data is the full resolution of the figure, not half. This is why 480i and 480p look so different, but are indistinguishable end resolution. Progressive is largely more desirable.

Also, 1080i is surpassed by 1080p.
1080 is better it tands for 1080 lines of resolution which is much more that 780 p... I am not sure what the difference between the ''p'' and the ''i'' is but my friend that works at best buy told me that you can't get any better resolution that 1080i.
