I switched to Dish Network from Directv 2 weeks ago. I like Directv better and want to switch fund. Before contacting Directv, I called Dish Network on two different occasion and was told by two different workers in the methodical department that I have 30 days to invalidate and not be charged a cancellation excise. I had the second member of staff put a note surrounded by my account that I have 30 days to cancel.
I tried to terminate and was told that the 30 afternoon guarantee was discontinued final year and I would be charged $240 to cancel service. They said they see that I call in earlier, but they wouldn't tell me what resume were on the picture. Do I have a leg to stand on?

Yes. this is fraud, or bait and switch. Threaten a imperative suit. If it does not work. report them to the bbb and take them to small claims court, if they don't respond to the bbb inquirie. I have an issue with buy.com. They sent a coupon which did not specify what you have to buy in direct to get the matrix on dvd. I complained tot he bbb. they give me a $15 coupon as a compromise. I was jovial with that so it be settled.
