Problem beside dishnetwork? ID larceny? what could be wrong?

ok today i got a bid from dishnetwork asking for a MR.(name). i told them they had the wrong number again. this is the 5th time this have happend. it seems to begin once a month or so. each time they name they ask for a differant person and i report to them i have have this number for over a year. one time they asked if i wanted to subscribe to dishnetwork and i told them i be allready subscribed to them. well technically my father is but i appear to be the only one who ever watches. the woman this time said she would put my number on a do not call chronicle. i have call back their number and it take me to the dishnetwork call domestic device thing.

so could dish meet people be doing this on purpus?

is it ID theft?

any design?

Answers:    I think it is deeply possible that somehow, somebody, somewhere, has already "cloned" your statement data and is selling counterfeited DN systems and cards next to your customer data on it (DN have been dealing beside this sort of fraud for years--it's kinda a funny story but I don't have the time right now).

It could be that DN already know this about your information, but they call respectively time to verify the information each time they encounter a clean account near your phone number on it. If they call you again, ask to speak to a supervisor, and share them what's going on. I would not give a tourist any information on your account unless you are 100% in no doubt that they are calling from DN.
