Can I play HDDVDs on this player?

I have an HD TV, and a DVD player explicitly hooked up to it using HDMI cables. Am I competent to go out and buy an HD-DVD and play it on my player, or do I call for to go out and buy a unsullied DVD player?

Answers:    No, you need something specific to HD DVD. Toshiba make several models and LG makes a combo player, the BH100. Those are the chief standalone models currently available.

The player you linked to single does upconverting and only plays DVDs.
You necessitate a special HD-DVD player to play HD DVDs.
