I contacted star choice and they told me that the dish needed alynment . i told them that the previous owner had no problems and have just removed his beneficiary from the system a few days ago and had not touched the dish.His signal strenght be 45% at the time ,I can only draw from 18 . I attempted to re-agust the dish but could not get the signal strenght above 19. In an attemp to ease myself ,I took the receiver and hooked it up to my friends system a few blocks away(his signal is polite ,sitting arond 48% and getting great picture) and again,I could only obtain 18-19 % signal strenght out of my receiver,to be exact with using everything of his except the heir. . In my opinion,This interview eliminates pretty much everything but the reciver.I'm in a minute surmising that my receiver could be toast or is near a chance that starchoice set it up incorrectly when I contacted them when I contacted them to do so.Getting a unmarked receiver is not an selection at this point. Any suggestions
Answers: 48% is not great signal either. The 405 receiver usually give roughly speaking 90-95% compared to the old 410 receiver. I would guess both of you may need your dishes realigned.If you are set up close to where on earth the previous owners had the dish (if zilch got moved) next hook it all rear legs up & try again. Yeah, I'd utter you probably do have a fruitless receiver!!
Did you break the nouns when you disconnected it resulting in some of the shield anyone loose around the connector? Replace the connector with the right type for what is credible a RG-6 cable. Make sure the new one fits the cable as not adjectives RG-6 are the same inner conductor and outer shield dimensions.
