hey what should i set this thing to to take the most dostortion on it
and how does the clean low work

If it is anything close to other guitar preamplifiers I have see, the clean furrow is a straight linear class-A preamplifier with no distortion (only a 2-channel equalizer; bass & treble). The overdrive amplifier probably have diode clippers in it and undependable gain to force clipping to occur.
