Normal battery versus rechargeable battery?
Thanks!
Answers: All battery suffer internal leakage. Not physical leak, but voltage leaking surrounded by which they discharge while simply sitting on a shelf.
The technology is such that standard batteries enjoy a very long shelf vivacity. The chemical action contained by rechargeables is different and the same technology that allows them to be recharged is what also allows them to drain faster purely sitting on the shelf.
Rechargeables, over a period of time, tend to be more cost successful due to their reusability. But they're still a pain surrounded by that they drain faster during use, AND they also lose power just sitting. Not to mention have to keep two or more sets while recharge one of the sets of batteries.
To explain why rechargeables lose their charge faster than standard battery requires an explanation of how batteries work, what the differences are, and how those differences affect mixed performances. The best I could do is maybe direct you to a website that covers some of that.
