Answers:    This entirely depends on what quality you're going for. If your purpose is just to bring something out there, you might spend a hundred or so on a cheap microphone, cheap headset, and mixing software... most of that will be the software unless you find something free.

You CAN use a especially cheap pc microphone or karaoke microphone beside the small plug, any headset you might already have, and try giving it a shot near Microsoft's Sound Recorder (comes on your system), but you'll need something to convert the wav to MP3 for MySpace. Typically, this doesn't result surrounded by a very upright quality. You really entail a better microphone to even start thinking about element, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

If you want it to be of a "medium" level (not quite professional but much better than what most race can do), you'll need an external nouns card to cut down on interference (the buzz you hear in the background), a well brought-up quality microphone (a wearing clothes one can be about $100), mixing software, and a accurate set of over the ear headphones... or roughly $500 worth of goods.

As far as professional characteristic equipment... that stuff's an arm & a leg and way overkill for MySpace.
