Can i use my kirby cleaner here contained by the uk?

we bought our kirby cleaner from the us to england so can i use it on your electric supply here if i changed the plug


Answers:    No. The US has 110 VAC power and the UK have 220 VAC power. The 220 VAC will burn out the motor. You could get a step-down transformer to decline the 220 VAC to 110 VAC. I don't know what it would cost but it might be worth looking into.
Besides the differences in the shape of the plugs, in attendance is also the difference in the voltages.
US - 110v
UK - 220v
