Another VHS to DVD press?

I have scads of VHS tape I want to convert to DVD. So Far, it's just be a frustration. I have Studio 8 and a Dazzle 80 and the program is simply unusable. I enjoy a plenty powerful computer with lots of storage space to bring the medium into my harddrive. Any recommendations on a program or hardware to return with to make this jammy? I am considering Pinnacle 11 with the movie box digital convertor (takes analog video, plus 2 track audio and converts it to USB signal into the computer. Open to another method or program. I do hold a tuner card I can install, how would I handle the audio?.

Answers:    I realize ancestors like using computers for this function, however, I well-educated an important lesson contained by using computers for burning disks using analog inputs...computers are just too unreliable.

I be also a very frustrated entity such as yourself, pursuing the same item you are not so long ago and I ended up throwing contained by the towel and finally just bought myself a clad stand-alone DVD recorder and a little TBC (time dais corrector) and all my troubles evaporated!

I own my VCR A-V connections going to the TBC and then into the recorder and I own successfully dubbed all my tape to it with NO problems whatsoever. I bought a used, professional TBC made by Laird (also have audio connections) to make sure adjectives the sychronization pulses were OK, as, some of my tape recorded within the 6 hour mode had a proclivity to have some breakup within the vertical sync which can cause the DVD to jitter up and down slightly when played rear legs.

Using the above method will also give you better nouns and picture than a computer burn due to the fact that computers hold a real rugged time maintaining the integrity of analog baseband signals, another cause to go near a recorder that was built to do this work.

I no longer use my computer for any analog applications, be they CD demo or DVD burning as I've had nil but trouble either within the recording itself or when trying to play them rear legs on other machines. Now I own a very nice Philips model 870 compact disc recorder that I have have for years and it works great and my Panasonic DMR-ES20 has be a real workhorse and save my sanity.
