Can I register a freeview subway minus the TV human being not here on??

...sounds odd, I know, but I'm have problems with this! I bought a strange LCD TV with intergrated freeview for my bedroom yesterday and have no problems setting up my VCR and recording the freeview channel.....however.....if I set my VCR to record and later turned the TV OFF to go and do something else, the VCR merely recorded a blank eyeshade! Eh??
I understand that you can simply record the depression you are watching unless you have a digital tuner, but I'm sure that you don't truly have to leave your job the TV in proclaim for the channel to find recorded!! That munificent of defeats the goal of recording the programme!!

The instruction manual says absolutley nought on the subject, other than how to connect a VCR- which I hold done correctly.

Any ideas would be gratefully received!!

Kindest regard!

Take care x

Answers:    In charge for this to work, you'll have to own the TV channels coming within through the VCR instead of plugged directly into the TV itself. Otherwise, you'll need to hold on to the TV on.
You can't turn the TV off if you want to copy - the freeview tuner and SCART will only be stirring while the set's turned on...

Sorry. :-(
Check the manual and you may find you necessitate an extra scart lead to the TV from the VCR.This will see recordings to be made on AV2 while the TV's off. LolX
