What type of profile can I burn to a dvd and will play within my dvd player?

I simply want a list of adjectives types of files (mpg, avi, etc.) that can be burned to a DVD and can play on any dvd player. And I'd really appreciate it if you would post a link to a site I can download a converter for free.

I enjoy a lot of avi and .mpg files I would resembling to burn, but I don't want to do it until I know they will work in my dvd player if I did burn them.

Thank you! ^_^

Answers:    Use a program to convert the files. Look for AVI2dvd or AVItoDVD on google and procure the program using bittorrent.
Then u can put them on a DVD
in directive to be able to be played surrounded by any dvd player, the file format have to be in a dvd format...BUP, IFO, and VOB. adjectives of these combined make a dvd. the best converter that i hold found is nero vision express. it will allow you to create menus, buttons, give backrgrounds and sounds to the main menu.

also for some newer dvd players, you can burn avi's directly to the dvd and it will play. before you try this trademark sure that your dvd player supports the avi file format

hope this help
generally if your looking forward to burn music or video u can shift for .mp3,.mpeg, .avi formats these are well supported by adjectives players & a pc stale course..so go ahead burn your dvd
