Advice Re Nuvi 650 vs. Navigon 7100 (same price $300) - which would you prefer & why?
Answers: I would go next to the Garmin without suspicion. I have impossible the two particular models you timetabled, but I have used the subsequent lower models of each respective brand (Garmin 360 and Navigon 5100)..
What I similar to about Garmin (and Magellan) is that the user interface is thoroughly intuitive and simple to walk through. Key sequences are logical and short.
My dislike of Navigon is that it seem to take heaps more keystrokes to get to like peas in a pod point. It was tricky for me to get the swing of it, and I had to read the instructions (!) whereas beside Garmin I felt that the domestic device was guiding me through like steps that I would have followed myself. The touch blind sensitivity also was rotten for me, requiring more re-types than I expected.
I would look at Navigon if I was trying to be cheap and whip the off-brand route. But if Navigon and Garmin are at the same price, that decree is too easy for me. The off-brand that I would consider is Mio. I used it once near a rental car within Europe, and it worked beautifully (I own not used it contained by the US though).
