Graphing Calculators... TI-83?

How do you change the brightness of the blind? Shift and Up/down?
My calculator isn't displaying anything on the screen. The battery's are working fine. And I tried shifting the brightness, too. What else can i do?


Answers:    Press the yellow "2ed" button surrounded by the upper left foot corner, then a blue side-to-side push button [depending on how bright or dark you want it] consequently press the corrosponding up-down key on the upper right paw side. Does that make sense? That's what worked for mine, at least possible...Sometimes you have to press the up-down switch hard + kinda quickly. Weird.
i thought it was the on button and up/down im not 100% sure thou
