Can a Chi iron work beside a voltage of 220? Converter?

Hi. I'm so upset. I've just purchased a Chi iron from Amazon, and it's on its mode to Singapore. Then i realised it works on 110 v, and Singapore's voltage is 220v. AND someone said converters/ adaptors do not work on CHI! I'm devastated. Did anyone sucessfully used a CHI iron overseas on a 220V with a converter?

Answers:    I work near such things as a hobby. I am unfamiliar beside such products. I can tell you that at hand is nothing impossible going on for a converter which will work. You have to convert to DC. Then you hold to use an inverter to convert back to the AC you want. That's mostly because of a slight difference within frequency. Europe is mostly 50 Hz. The United States is 60 Hz. Other than that, a simple transformer should work. You just drop the voltage near a 2:1 transformer. No electronics would be needed if there is no difference within frequency.
Good luck! That's what you'd be looking for if it's available.
