One for adjectives complete remote programing?

ok i just bought a global remote from one for all. i hold a tv/vcr combo but the vcr dosent work.....the tv is hitachi and the code for it works fine....now the problem is i enjoy a coby dvd player but the button for vcr/dvd is already taken for the dvd player i tried using other options such as the cable for the dvd player but it dosent work also in that is no recorded code for coby so that would help out a million thanks so much


Answers:    I enjoy one of these, which can control 6 different items. According to the docs, you can change the function of any button for the type of device it will control, adjust the CABLE to VCR for example, so you can control 2 separate VCR's. There is also a way to scan codes one by one, also surrounded by the docs, to find a set which will work for any unlisted device. On mine, you press the setup button and the device button together and hold until the LED starts blinking. Then, repeated pressing of the ON/OFF until the unit responds. When the element responds, press the setup key to lock contained by that code. On the TV/VCR combo, you have to set the codes for the TV separate from the VCR section. As far as your remote is concerned, even though they are in matching unit, the TV and VCR are two separate devices.
