Why my dvd player shows video on night red and consequently ordinary?

I recently bought a LG dn798. It play most of my dvds ok, but when I try to play x-files or someother fox dvd, the picture turns redish and after back to middle-of-the-road. It is very annoying. I be under the summary that this a security item that studios use when you play dvds on chep dvd player, that is why I bought the LG, but i am getting indistinguishable problem. Anyone can help ? please.

Answers:    it depends on how you hold your system set up - i remember back surrounded by the early days of DVD, i still have a VCR and i connected my DVD player to my VCR to play through it but because of the copy protection that is built into the player, it would distort the picture. if you enjoy your DVD player going directly into your television, are you connecting it using component video, composite video or s-video? how are you connecting it? at hand isn't any way around it if you do hold it going through some other device... i'm not aware of anything that you can do to get rid of that problem outside of shifting the way you connect your DVD to your tube.
