I've bought plenty of stuff from Dubai but I can honestly right to be heard that the stuff you get down here is roughly the same price as you would earnings in the UK. Not simply that but most stuff there is set to run on 110v (even though they do enjoy 240v). The only trunk advantage you would benefit from is probably gold/jeweleery as you can barter on the price but again, don't expect them to drop by that much.
