What's the difference between the Sony Portable Reader and The Amazon Kindle?
Answers: I own read that Sony only works beside their given software & books aren't discounted too much from the regular price.
The Kindle has an internet nouns to Amazon & Wikipedia. The books can be around $10 for a best seller. It appears to me to be the better risk. Sony has 20,000 titles available & Amazon have 90,000.
That said, I think they will come down significantly surrounded by price in a year or two & neither support library books from e-libraries right very soon.
I'm waiting for the 2nd Gen. Right now Kindle win out, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sony comes up with a better device latter. Neither device has a backlight though, which I'm sure is annoying.
Edit: Just saw this and considered necessary to pass it along. USA Today did a comparison article. http://www.usatoday.com/tech/columnist/e...
