There's a light burned out and my bathroom, but the other ones are okay. I want to know, within case my dad get a big bill.

Answers:    No, it does not run up your electric bill.

You can prove this to yourself with a flashlight. Take out the bulb, or break the bulb, and turn on the switch.
Your battery will not drain, because the bulb is not drawing any current.
Even though this is DC instead of AC, it's the same principle.
