I'm looking for a correct GPS. Is the TomTom ONE 3rd Edition right for me?

I work as a computer technician and commonly need to drive contained by and around Indianapolis.

I looked around on Amazon, and the TomTom ONE 3rd Edition (http://www.amazon.com/TomTom-ONE-Portabl... looks great, but I am wondering what I would gain by buying a more expensive GPS.

My phone doesn't have Bluetooth, so that isn't an issue, and pretty much adjectives I am looking for is a GPS that is well mountable on my windshield, that has upright, loud, clear instructions, and starts up quickly.

From the Amazon reviews, it looks superlative, but what would I gain from spending more than $150, not that I am opposed to spending single $150 :).

Thanks!

Answers:    The TomTom One 3E is a nice unit, with poise designed. If I have to nitpick, this is what I would right to be heard:

No Bluetooth as you mentioned. Not a deal-breaker, but a useful characteristic. Even if your phone doesn't have BT today, your subsequent phone might.

Mapping data. I am not sure how it does surrounded by Indianapolis, but I have used a TomTom contained by several cities, and I like the routes given by Garmin better. It'll grasp you there, but I infer the route choices are not the best.

Fewer points of interest. These are pre-programmed restaurants, gas stations, etc, but you can add your own. Usually this doesn't thing, but if you are in an foreign city, having more POIs could backing you find your next dinner faster.

A little slow. Not by a great deal, but this is like the difference between a hurriedly PC and a slow PC.

No text-to-speech, meaning that it'll communicate you to make the subsequent right turn, but not the street name. A nice-to-have.

No FM transmitter. You can't play music beside the GPS through your car radio. No big do business.

I would say that this is a nice, great looking and properly compact GPS unit that will do a virtuous job getting you where on earth you want to go. What you present up are the convenience features that go beyond what a uncomplicated GPS is supposed to do.

The one model with similar capability and price is the Garmin Nuvi 200. You might want to look at it at a store to see which you like better.
