How involved are lava lamp?

I recently purchased a small one and it doesn't appear to do much.


Answers:    if you can, lift the glass sphere part out of the platform. there should be a spring coiled contained by a circle on the inside of the bottom of the glass. Sometimes the coil slides up a ways and get turned sideways, and then they wont work properly. If it IS contained by the right place....you got a cruddy one...give somebody a lift it back
I would thieve it back right away,,,it should be up dancing and running around..You a moment ago got a laid-back one..
is it slow when you plugg it in? steal it back if so. Usualy next to the small ones there not lively and thats everyday but with the bigger ones in attendance more lively and noticable
Lave lamps usually thieve a few hours to get going. It depend on the nature. If you turn it on and leave it on for 3 or 4 hours and zilch happens you probibly get a bad kerosene lamp. Try taking it back if this happen and get a different lava light brand.
