Rechargable battery?

I bought a DURACELL Rechargable ACCU today, and tried to charge four AA DURACELL Rechargable Batteries. It says surrounded by the directions the charger's LED will turn red when the batteries necessitate to be charged, and will shut off the LED when they're done charging. My camera say they need to be charged, but the charger beg to differ.
I put in the battery, and plugged it in. No bedside light was showing! I believe I did what the instructions said. Put surrounded by the batteries, plug some sort of plug, (Ahaah, I'm sorry I can't specify. I don't know what it's called.) and plug the other run out of that into the wall.
What did I do wrong?
Helllllpppp!

Answers:    First, if the battery's are brand new, they enjoy a very small charge within them and need charging. Re-check that they enjoy been properly loaded into the charger beside the positive[+] and negative[-] signs on the battery's matching what the charger call for. make sure the outlet is powered up that you are plugging the charger into, some times they are on a wall switch and turned past its sell-by date, finally make sure their isn't an on/off switch on the charger that requirements to be moved.......you should be set to go.
did you try the mobile in something else? purloin it back to wal*mart & they'll make a contribution you another defective one free of charge.
