You probably have an antenna (or RF) input on your TV. You'll also own a video input on your TV. You can buy adapter plugs to make one connector fit the other. But it still doesn't clear the RF cable from your antenna (or cable box) work in your video input.

What you get was merely the plug adapter. You also need to coppers the power with a power adapter. Plugging contained by the wrong voltage can potentially damage/destroy your device.

Oh, what the hey, let's tell a moment or two story. The year was 1973. 4-function calculators have just be invented. They could do addition, subtraction, muliplicaton and division. That be it. And they had freshly come down in price to $125. (More than $500 surrounded by 2007 dollars.) And a young electronics student save all his money to buy one. He be even happier to see a jack on the side which said "AC". He didn't have to buy 9v battery; he could run it off of wall power. So, individual the astute young manufacture that he was, he get a spare electric cord with an AC plug on one shutting down, dutifully soldered the two wires on the other end to his calculator jack. And plugged it into the wall.

A terrifically expensive mass of molten plastic. But, hey, we couldn't blame him. If it could do basic arithmetic at 9v, later it should do Calculus at 120v. At least that's what we told him as we be laughing at his mistake.
