Would you consider buying an Amazon Kindle?
And... best of all... wireless access to Wiki! =]
It's worth $400 to me. I could really use a device resembling this. Especially for when I'm at school, it'd be really adjectives. And it's really durable too.

Answers: That depends. Personally, I think I'd specifically prefer a small tablet PC with similar features -- especially since I would seldom need it somewhere that I couldn't find a hotspot. However, I can see what you stingy -- it seems close to a good product. My one and only question is whether it offer web browsing; would I be capable of check my email, MySpace, etc., from the device. If not, I'm not sure I'd want it; it seems to me that I really wouldn't use it extraordinarily often, unless I could use more than books, electronic shopping for aforementioned books, and Wikipedia; I devise my cell phone can do all of those already, aside displaying the actual manuscript on the screen.
But, it's markedly a unique perception -- thanks for pointing it out :]
EDIT: Yeah, it would. My college blocks pretty much everything -- email, MySpace, most other MySpace type sites, YouTube.. all of it. And it's difficult to use a cell within class, because it's against rules. That doesn't exactly stop me, lol, but I mainly primer, which I can do without looking at the phone; holding it above my sleeve, or surrounded by my purse while I pretend to look for something. But if I could pass it sour as a little Wikipedia browsing, I construe the teachers would allow use of the Kindle.
I didn't know that. And to devise I deleted that email as if it be spam.
