Electrician query.?

Is it safe to run 110 appliances through a 220 file...and if it is..are there adapters for the outlet.

Answers:    It is other helpful if the examine is a little more specific roughly speaking the exact purpose and appliance in mind.

Generally speaking, it is Not sheltered to run 110 VAC single phase appliances from a 220 VAC 2-phase line.

However, it is possible to remove the dated receptacle and replace and rewire it for 2 separate 110 VAC outlets. But this needs to be done by a licensed electrician, or someone who have good electrical erudition and savvy.

It may be possible to purchase a prewired extension cord from stayonline.com (link below), if you know the exact 220VAC NEMA wall plug type and 110VAC NEMA receptacle you need.
In the terminate, it may be best to have the outlet rewired and converted from 220 to 110 by electrician. It can be done.
Youd enjoy to use a transformer or converter I think otherwise you'd fry the appliance.
