my mom owns a roller skating rink. and right now we of late have approaching big speakers, a cd player and a switchboard type thing that everything is connected next to that we play music with. but i focus it would be easier if we just used a computer that be hooked up to speakers, they wouldn't have to be the ones we hold now, but is it even possible to do that? if anyone can inform me, it'd be great. thankfulness : D

yes of cousre!! thats how DJs do it! anyway basicly u get a cable specifically AV to sterio headphone jack. Thats what i use, but depending on the type of speakers and what features/ways to plug in it have, you may or may not need a diff. helpful then mine
The computer is not powerful adequate to push the music thru those big speakers. But you can plug the computer into the switchboard thing (amplifier), and play music from your strong drive that way.
You will have need of to get a soaring quality nouns card for that. One like the HT OMEGA PLUS+, on newegg. It have outputs for speakers, and will make everything nouns better with 24 bit processing.
