What database types are burnable to and can be played subsidise on any DVD player?

Would it be MPG or MPEG? Any answers would be appreciated - Thank you!

Answers:    If you want to play the disc in a standard DVD player, consequently you will have to label DVD video disks (file names ending in .VOB). The compression/encoding format DVD video files is MPEG-2 , but this does not plan that your DVD player will just play a disk that you hold burned a .MPG file to.
The MPG files you draw from from the web are usually MPEG-4. There are other formats too, close to .AVI, .FLV, & DIVX.
Some DVD players will play these other formats, but your best option is to convert them to DVD Video. There are lots of products that will do this. A snatched web hunt will find lots. (Be wary of what you download, as you would expect!)

Another aspect you need to be aware of is whether your DVD player is compatible next to the type of DVDs you are burning in your PC. Some may not support adjectives formats (like DVD -R, DVD +R, DVD RAM, etc.).
