Wifi on ipod touch assistance?

well when im within my house i get this likelihood to log onto a wifi network explicitly in my house for some basis. i dont have a laptop but i believe maybe the relations who lived in the house formerly me did? anyways i need a password to gain into it. at my friends house it does the same entry and she knows her password, but i dont know mine. how do i obtain it?

also for spring break me and my family progress on a houseboat in sea shasta in california, do you feel i will be able to travel on wifi when im there? also if i buy a wireless router and appropriate it with me, would that work?

For your friend, any she has a router contained by her house that she set a password for, or she found out the password of her neighbor's house. Your neighbors obviously don't want you to connect to their router because of the password. I'd suggest to invest into a router for your home.
