Can someone please teach me how to engender a speaker crossover for the bass, midrange and treble?

Basically you opt what kind of filter you want after buy appropriate inductor and capacitor combinations to either overrun high frequencies or low frequencies (based on the impedance of the driver). The midrange crossover is lately a lowpass and highpass filter combined.
