since we bike a lot we are planning to bring back a lot of use out of them, but we be wondering if they would work house to house if they have a 16km band... I know being inside and next to buildings in between the catwalk lessen the range distance but they hold a far range and in attendance are no big buildings in between our houses which are 2 intersections away. Do you focus we could use them house to house with the 16 extent on the talkies?

You probably can. I have used them from buildings and also while driving a motor. You may have to switch the channels if your conversation is human being picked up by someone else. Don't say personal things over the airwaves as it is undo to anyone to listen in
