USB power using crocodile clips?

Hi there,
I'm guessing its possible to use a set of crocodile clips to verbs the power coming from USB (like a USB battery) to another device?
Is there any place to buy a USB - crocodile clips cable? This is for a charity project where on earth the costs need to be as small as possilbe.
Any help out is appreciated!
Thanks.

Answers:    You can only draw 500 mA from a USB port, so pay attention with what you plan to power from that port.
Check the pattern and you will find quite a few USB-based power adapters.
You'd probably enjoy to make one yourself... Or own someone make one for you.

I'd be content to solder it all together for the cost of shipping and the materials (not adjectives that much).
